Superior Natural Australian Black Opal Diamond Ring. This phenomenal opal has a captivating display of non-stop fire. This is a huge gem and it's absolutely mesmerizing, especially in the sunlight. The opal has a perfect oval polish and measures 35.0mm x 19.20mm x 5.5mm 21.10ctw. The ring is highlighted with 30 2.0mm VS1-VS2 G exceptional diamonds, an additional.

90ctw, a combined total 22.00ctw. The opal is one large solid piece, it has a medium dark body with a mix of color patterns in flagstone, broad flash, floral and pin fire.

The colors saturate the entire face, they are vibrant and metallic bright red, blue, green, yellow, magenta, purple, turquoise and orange. Every angle produces a depth of different flashing color, from light to dark and small to large pockets of color.

The opal has billowing natural elements throughout the body and the original host rock on the side and back. One side (shown in the progressive close-up photos) shows random intersecting needle inclusions. This is a natural phenomenon which stems from where the host rock is still showing on the side.

The setting is 18k white gold, it is tested and stamped 18k with a designers initials EJ. The face measures 1 5/16" high (NorthSouth) x 3/4" wide. The ring is a size 7 1/4, it can be re-sized and it weighs 16.65g. The ring is in excellent vintage condition. There is no damage to the opal or the diamonds and the setting is repair free.

The opal does not have any internal cracks or webbed crazing, there are no chips, no nicks or breaks, no excessive wear, no scratching and no gouges on the face.
