The reverse of this pure gold proof coin depicts the cartoon character Tinga the Tasmanian D evil and includes the legend "1/25 oz 99.99 AU 5 DOLLARS". The obverse features the traditional Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, crowned and right facing and is surrounded by the legend "ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2010".

The coin is housed in a presentation box with the cartoon character emblazoned upon it. The Tasmanian Devil is an iconic symbol of Tasmania and Australia. It has been widely used by the media and businesses alike.
