One of the first 250 struck. 1000 total mintage, Coin number 0046. The coin is perfect as is the inner packaging.

The outer white box has a tear in the lid and a small scuff on one edge. The Sydney Opera House was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007. One of the worlds premiere performance venues, it is situated at Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour in New South Wales, Australia. Brilliantly conceived, the design was inspired by the flotilla of sails and boats that frequented the harbour. The Sydney Opera House boasts approximately a thousand rooms, including five theatres, five rehearsal studios, two main halls, four restaurants, six bars and numerous souvenir shops.

The rooves or shells of the building are constructed of over a million glazed granite tiles, imported from Sweden. The Sydney Opera House is a famous tourist destination visited by millions of people every year.

Its unique design and location make it one of the worlds most famous landmarks. The silver coins reverse depicts the Sydney Opera House, against a backdrop of colourful fireworks framed within a map shape of Australia.

The inscription THE LAND DOWN UNDER and The Perth Mints P mintmark are also incorporated in the design. The gold coins reverse depicts the Sydney Opera House and the harbour.
